For whatever reason, many people have to hide their piercings at some point in time. Whether it be for school, work or an unknowing mother there are some options for you.
Piercings on the ears and body are the easiest to disguse thanks to hair and clothing. Modest clothes and some sneaky hairstyles can make a world of difference.
Unfortunatly, facial piercings aren't so simple to work with. This is when something called a 'retainer' can become your best friend. Retainers are small, clear plastic bars which are meant to be pretty much invisible. They're quite accessible and you can buy them from a drugstore or a piercing studio.
Note: When a piercing is still healing you may want to take into account the length of your potential retainer, especially if the piercing gets swollen frequently. If the jewellery is ill-fitting it can cause irritation when your trying to heal.

Welcome Everyone :D
Hi everyone and welcome to my new blog 'Pierced'!
Now what is 'Pierced' all about?
It's pretty much all explained in the title! You can find everything here you need to know about piercings: Types, places, aftercare, jewellery, and more. Feel free to let me know anything new you would like to know about.
Before we start, I want to make clear that I am NOT a professional piercer. The advice given on this blog is just suggestions and helpful tips which shouldn't nessecarily replace a professional piercer's advice. I am just speaking from personal experience and everything I have learned along the way.
So, I hope you enjoy and learn a little more about piercings, and by all means, let me know what you think!
